Andy Williams — Thank You

I just finished reading Andy Williams biography. When I was in my early twenties, Andy hired me to help revitalize his career. He was one of my first marketing/branding clients. I put together a Sweepstakes with Brides Magazine where a lucky wedding couple could win Andy Williams singing at their wedding. Andy and I then went to his record company – Columbia Records – and put together a compilation album called The Andy Williams Wedding & Anniversary Album, which was sold through Brides Magazine and Columbia’s distribution. Brides Magazine got hundreds of thousands of entries and the lucky winner was from Boston, where Andy sang at their Polish Wedding. It was an amazing scene and Andy handled the chore gracefully and with good humor. I enjoyed working with Andy and getting to know him. When I think of Andy today, I think of a classy man with impeccable taste who treated me well. One Christmas Andy and this then-love Laurie gave me my first high quality sports coat. I treasured it for years. What many people do not know is Andy is one of the most successful recording artists of all time. He is on a very short list of artists who have sold the most albums. What I enjoyed most about his book was learning that he is happy in Branson, redefined his career and relevancy, and found the love of his life. The experience with Andy Williams allowed me to build a large entertainment marketing company, be a television producer, and a whole lot of other cool things including melslife.com. Thanks Andy.
